Privacy notice
This notice explains how Westminster & Partners handles personal information when you visit westminsterpartners.co.uk, contact us or discuss a possible engagement. Website measurement and enquiry handling are separate activities.

Who is responsible and how to contact us
Westminster & Partners operates through Alderwick & Co. LLC, a limited liability company formed in New York, United States. New York Department of State ID: 8027460. Alderwick & Co. LLC is the operator responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

Enquiries and information you provide
If you email or call us, we receive your contact details and whatever information you choose to share. This may include your name, organisation, role, correspondence and a brief description of a proposed matter. We use it to respond, assess whether we can act, carry out preliminary conflict checks and discuss next steps.
There is no website enquiry form, document-upload facility or account-registration function on these pages. Email and telephone links open the relevant service on your device; they do not submit a website form. Your email or telephone provider has its own information-handling arrangements.
Please initially send only a brief, non-confidential outline. Do not send sensitive personal information, identity documents, bank details or confidential matter papers until conflicts, the proposed engagement and an appropriate sharing route have been addressed. An enquiry does not create a client relationship. Acceptance and written engagement terms are required.

Purposes and legal bases
Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you personally, we process the information needed for those steps on that basis. Where you contact us for a business or another person, our basis for ordinary enquiry handling and business correspondence is our legitimate interest in assessing and responding to potential work.
Our legitimate interests also include administering business relationships, checking conflicts and operating and securing the website and our communications. Information necessary to perform a contract with an individual is processed for that purpose. We rely on a legal obligation only where an applicable law actually requires the relevant processing. Any accepted engagement may need further information about the handling of matter-specific data.
Website measurement is intended to help us understand page use and improve the site. That purpose does not establish an exemption from cookie or similar-technology rules. A legitimate-interest basis does not replace consent where consent is required for storing or accessing information on a device. We do not treat visiting this website as consent. The current measurement setup and its control limitation are described below.

Website operation and measurement
Ploy provides this website's platform. Native Ploy analytics is active for page visits, sessions and clicks. It is separate from visitor enrichment. Visitor enrichment is disabled for this workspace; we are not using that feature to identify visiting companies or people. Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Meta integrations are not configured.
Website delivery, security and measurement can involve technical information about a request and visit, including IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, referrer information, sessions and interactions. The precise fields retained depend on the platform function. Ploy's privacy policy describes these categories; this notice does not claim that every field is retained for every visit.
There is currently no verified visitor-level control on this site that prevents native analytics collection until you opt in, or that automatically stops collection following an objection. Emailing us is a route for a privacy request, not an immediate technical switch. We cannot promise that browser cookie controls, Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control disable native analytics. See Cookies and website technologies for the current position.

Providers and international handling
Ploy, Inc. provides the website platform and native analytics. Its privacy policy describes processing customer end-user information on the customer's behalf. Website hosting, security and communication services may involve supporting providers. Correspondence also passes through the email or telephone services used by the sender and recipient. We do not identify an unverified provider as part of this site's data flow.
The operator is formed in the United States, and Ploy's privacy policy describes processing in the United States and other countries. Information may therefore be handled outside the United Kingdom. That policy is provider information, not evidence of a particular signed data-processing agreement, transfer mechanism or compliance certification for this site. Contact us for information about arrangements relevant to your information or proposed engagement.

How long information is kept
We retain enquiry and correspondence information according to its purpose, whether discussions or an engagement remain ongoing, the need for appropriate conflict records, and any applicable legal, record-keeping or claims requirements. Information should not be kept merely because it is available. Retention for an accepted matter depends on that matter and the applicable requirements.
A fixed retention period for this site's native analytics has not been confirmed. Platform records and backups are also subject to the provider's retention arrangements. Contact us if you need information about retention or wish to request deletion. We will explain any relevant limit; we do not promise immediate removal from every provider record or backup.

Your rights and complaints
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If a particular activity relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. These rights have conditions and exceptions.
Send requests or objections to contact@westminsterpartners.co.uk, identifying the issue and the information concerned. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or changing information. Please do not send identity documents before an appropriate verification route has been agreed. We will respond within the applicable legal timeframe. A request about analytics does not itself stop technical collection.
You may raise a data-protection complaint with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office. The ICO explains how to make a complaint. You can contact us first so that we can address your concern; this does not remove your right to approach the ICO or another competent authority.
